The Office of the Legislative Auditor (OLA) is a professional,
nonpartisan
audit and evaluation office within the legislative branch of Minnesota
state government. The office is under the direction of the Legislative
Auditor, who is appointed by the Legislative Audit Commission. The office's
principal goal is to provide the Legislature, agencies, and the public
with audit and evaluation reports that are accurate, objective, timely,
and useful. Through its reports, the office seeks to strengthen accountability
and promote good management in government.

organization estabished in 1958. Throughout its history, ACUA has provided
an arena to discuss mutual professional problems and to generate new
ideas and methods concerning the profession. ACUA has developed the
internal auditing standards (adapted from Standard for the Professional
Practice of Internal Auditing of the Institute of Internal Auditors.)
used by institutions of higher education.

Colleges and Universities (MnSCU) is governed by a 15-member Board of
Trustees appointed by the governor. The Board has policy responsibility
for system planning, academic programs, fiscal management, personnel,
admissions requirements, tuition and fees, and rules and regulations.
